I earned my BS (Mechanical Engineering)in 1962 from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and both MPH (76) and DrPH (83) in (Health Administration)from Columbia University. I specialize in secondary health-care data sets to answer health care question. I write SAS code and use national data from the CDC, State Health Departments, and other sources. Prior to employment at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, I was a propulsion engineer with Grumman Aircraft Engineer Corporation assigned to the Apollo Lunar module Rocket Engines from 1963-1969. In 1969, I joined the staff at The Presbyterian Hospital in the City of New York and was a member of the administrative staff for 26 years, working in a number of capacities including Administrative Assistant for Medical Affairs and Director of the Office of Case Mix Studies. I was a member of the faculty of Columbia School of Public Health from 1997 to 2006 with a rank of Associate Clinical Professor and an Adjunct Professor at Baruch/Mount Sinai MBA Program from 1999 until 2011. I am currently the Director of Research at the Melody Arons Center for Applied Preschool Research and Education
